D55, referred to as the Enigma Code by codebreakers, remains a complex enigma to this day. Its purpose was to encode German military communications during World War II, and its here sophistication made it a formidable barrier for Allied forces. Because of their complexity, D55 was eventually cracked by brilliant mathematicians and codebreakers.
